The feasibility study is a first step that helps assess the viability of heritage preservation as well as its potential; it lays the foundation for preservation strategies such as adaptive reuse of a building or a site. Feasibility study allows:
  • A thorough review of clients' needs, with a rigorous analysis of the existing building or of the buildings on the site.
  • A decision on a project cost-effectiveness
These analyses typically include a functional program, preliminary budgeting and planning implications, and details on how the project can be funded in the short and long term.
